Can't Donate it? Recycle it!
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg area has a number of full-service and self-service recycling centers throughout town. Find one close to you to drop items that cannot be salvaged or donated to help keep them out of local landfills.
How to prepare for recycling:
- Break down cardboard boxes/crates and remove any plastic or styrofoam packaging.
- Clean and rinse all cartons and plastics of food and liquid waste prior to recycling.
- Remove caps and lids from bottles and containers
- Always check to make sure there are no non-recyclables mixed in with your items prior to dropping at a recycling location!
